On Sunday, September 28, Texas CEF joined the congregation of King of Kings Lutheran Church in San Antonio to celebrate CEF Sunday.

As an investor, you know that your partnership with Texas CEF helps congregations grow in ministry. But have you ever wondered why a church invites CEF to visit and share? Pastor Schmidt of King of Kings put it best:

“Why did King of Kings welcome a CEF member?
We wanted to have a better understanding of CEF—its mission and purpose.
Learning how CEF helps congregations to fund the ministry, it is hard to say ‘no’ to the opportunity of having a CEF representative. For King of Kings, the Stamp Program is a huge incentive to our Sunday School kids. Every baptized child is given a Stamp booklet as a gift.
For us, CEF is truly an aid to our ministry.”– Pastor Schmidt, King of Kings Lutheran, San Antonio, TX

Following Pastor Schmidt’s sermon on the parable of The Rich Man and Lazarus, the congregation was reminded of how resources can be used to serve the Kingdom and strengthen LCMS ministries right here in Texas.
