Using investments from our wonderful partners in ministry like you, Texas District Church Extension Fund (Texas District CEF) has been able to meet the growing needs of Texas District ministries.
One example is Our Savior Lutheran Church in Austin. According to the Pastor Erich Borchers, this congregation was originally located on the corner of Parmer and Lamar and faithfully worshiped at this location for approximately 17 years. In 1990, due to the traffic at this location, the decision was made to buy land and build at their current location on Yager lane. The original loan was for the land purchase and building process.
On Sunday, January 16, 2022, Our Savior celebrated paying off their loan with Texas District CEF!
When asked what it was like to work with Texas CEF, Pastor Borchers said:
“Working with Texas CEF has been nothing short of a blessing! The Texas District, while still part of the whole LCMS community, is a unique place to serve the Lord. Not only do we have incredible district leadership and staff who support and encourage the mission of the Church, we also have amazing organizations like the Texas District Church Extension Fund who over the years have come alongside members and churches to advance the saving Gospel of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! Again, TDCEF has been an incredible blessing to our church family.”
Whatever your congregation needs financially to help focus on multiplying followers of Jesus, Texas CEF is here to help. Here are just some examples of what Texas CEF loans have funded in recent years:
- New pipe organ
- New sanctuary construction
- Roof repairs
- New audio-visual system
- Construction of classrooms and offices
- Air conditioning and heating system replacement
- Parking lots
It’s investors, like those of you reading this article, who make these loans possible. Thank you for partnering in ministry with us!
