On Sunday, December 22, Faith Lutheran Church in Georgetown rejoiced in a significant milestone—paying off their $3.9 million loan with the Texas District Church Extension Fund (Texas CEF). This achievement was made possible through six dedicated capital campaigns, each spanning over three years, alongside the strategic use of annual loan rebate checks.

The journey began in 2008 when Texas CEF approved the loan to construct the church’s beautiful new sanctuary. Over the years, thanks to the faithful investments of church members and Texas CEF’s rebate program, Faith Lutheran received over $300,000 in rebates. This partnership exemplifies how investments can create lasting impacts for congregations and their communities.

The celebration didn’t end with the note burning ceremony. On the same day, the church welcomed three new members into the faith through baptism—one adult woman and two teenagers. These joyous moments underscore the importance of having a space where lives can be transformed and faith can flourish.

Your investments truly make a difference. They helped build a sanctuary where God’s work continues to unfold. As we look ahead to 2025, we are excited to see the amazing things God will do with your investments.

Faith Lutheran Church’s story is a powerful reminder that every investment, no matter the size, helps build a legacy of faith and community.
