Back in 2009, a group of leaders from Zion Lutheran Church in Walburg (Georgetown) started a Bible Study group in Liberty Hill. Their journey led them to leasing a warehouse at Panther Storage, where worship services soon followed. A significant milestone came when Richard Steyer generously donated his family’s land, envisioning a Lutheran church to serve the community.
In 2014, the land was officially dedicated to Mission Liberty Hill to use. The congregation and community have cherished this land, hosting everything from Easter services to a joyful Christmas festival. This land has been and will continue to be a “Mission Field” and serve as a beacon of faith and community.
Finally, on Wednesday, June 12, 2024, Mission Liberty Hill joined together to celebrate the groundbreaking of their new multipurpose building. This new building will be used for church services as well as community events.
Mission Liberty Hill expresses heartfelt gratitude to all who joined in celebrating this milestone. They eagerly anticipate how God will work through their faith-filled community to spread Christ’s love locally and beyond.
