What a blessing it was to participate in the 2022 National Youth Gathering in Houston! Texas District CEF had the privilege of being a sponsor of the Texas District Night for about 1700 of our youth. What an awesome opportunity to get to meet many of our current and potential young investors. Each person received a yo-yo and were encouraged to take photos and videos of themselves doing tricks or just having fun with it.
One guest, Aidan, had this to say:
“The Texas District gathering was cool to me because I got to see both the strength of the LCMS body in my home state and some of the leaders of the church.”
We also joined forces with LINC Houston alongside the University of Houston to provide care bags for international students. 300 bags were stuffed with necessities to give these students a great start. We give thanks to all the youth who donated their time to help prepare these.
As these kids get ready to head back to school many of them will start looking for after-school jobs. This is the perfect chance to help these young people to learn financial responsibility and saving.
